Chapter Idea: Path of Exile 2
Now while Path of exile is an ARPG and not a horror game, its horror adjacent enough that I think it could work as a licenced chapter for DBD and an opportunity to have our first Werewolf killer.
Killer name: The Putrid Wolf
Count Geanor starts the trial in human form with a slightly larger terror radius and the same ms as an M1 killer.
Power: Agnar
Geanor uses his runed sword Agnar to raise up a wall of frost. Survivors in the direct path of the attack will loose a health state and be pushed to the side of the wall. This ability can be used to take a choice away from survivors in chase and even prevent obvious and easy escapes. The Ice wall can move through obstacles but will not break pallets. Each direct hit of the Ice wall or striking a survivor shortly after raising one will ignite one of Agnar's runes. At 4 runes Geanor can turn into the Putrid Wolf which does several things.
Putrid Wolf: Each survivor is inflicted with Oblivious and hears the count's terror radius as if he is literally next to them. They are surrounded by a wall of fog in every direction (Similar to dredge's nightfall) and have an Ice werewolf summoned next to them. The Ice Werewolf will chase the survivor and attack them, it will not do damage but interrupt any current actions and explode a nearby generator that has progress. Geanor himself now gains massively increased movement speed and crawling movement as the Putrid wolf where he can teleport to any of the Ice wolves consuming them and damaging a nearby survivor. His new power is nightmare leap where he can charge a large leap, over even some obstacles and will take a health state from any survivor in his path. The Putrid wolf state lasts for 30 seconds.
Counterplay: The Beasts' influence allows for virtue gems to spawn in random locations around the Trial (Or in chests like the Vecna items), there are 3 types that allow for different effects. Fireball: Will let you hurl a ball of flames that can break a hole into Geanor's ice wall, allowing you to prevent him from zoning you out. Ground slam: Which lets you unleash a wave of churning Earth in front of you that will slow down the Count if it hits him for 3 seconds and it can break open blocked doorways which normally the Killer can only open. Lightning Spear will let you hurl a javelin of electricity, which can destroy an ice wolf. No more than 2 of each of these virtue gems can exist in the trial at the same time and they are all single use before disappearing.
Perks:
Madness of Nightmare (Corruption): A new type of perk called a corruption, which for killers lets them inflict a debuff on themselves to also apply a debuff to all survivors. Madness of Nightmare lets you silence yourself which is a new status ailment that prevents you from using your power and lasts for 15 seconds. For the same duration all survivors are afflicted with Madness where they receive additional skill checks for all actions, good and great skillchecks do not grant additional progress and failures cause additional regression. During madness all skill check outcomes count as failures for the purposes of Perks.
Requiem on High (Hex): Every time a generator is completed a random dull totem is hexed, granting increasing effects for each hexed totem. 1 totem: 10% reduced gen repair speed, 2 totems: Survivors scream every time a generator is completed, 3 totems: Grants exposure to a random survivor for 40 seconds after a generator is completed. 4 totems: All hex totems are blocked by the entity for the rest of the match.
I shall take your head myself (Obsession): Every time you hook a non-obsession survivor you gain a token. At 5 tokens you periodically reveal the obsession to you every 25 seconds and you can Mori them, after which this perk deactivates. If the obsession is changed at any time during the trial or hooked loose 1 token.
As for other things that can come with this chapter, a map that takes place in Geanor's manor would fit nicely into Borgo. Skins can be a Headsman Skin for the Oni, an Asinia skin for the Nurse, A Draven skin for the Knight, A Biera skin for either the Hound Master or Hag. As for survivors perhaps one of the residents of Ogham could work such as Una, Finn, Renly and Leitis.
Also he has a pretty cool theme in game that can easily be adapted in to a chase theme. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQxXUGb78UY
Anyway thank you for reading my post and have a nice day.
