Albert Wesker (The Mastermind) "Project W"

Hello Behaviour.

In the latest Chorus of Sin patch, several significant issues have emerged with the Wesker character, noticeably impairing his gameplay responsiveness. His grabs and attacks appear to be heavily reliant on server validation, resulting in inconsistent input registration and noticeable latency. This undermines the core mechanics of the character, as Wesker’s strength lies in precise movement, timing, and positioning — elements that require immediate and consistent feedback from the game engine.

Another critical issue appears to be a bug related to the 2‑meter limitation on the Leap ability. In certain scenarios, Wesker fails to execute the dash when positioned approximately 2–4 meters from the targeted object. This is particularly problematic during tight maneuvers around corners or when attempting to engage a Survivor pinned against an object. Even with clear targeting on a Survivor, the ability may fail to trigger due to interference with nearby geometry, potentially disrupting the chase and leading to a disadvantage — especially in narrow spaces involving pallets, walls, and other environmental elements.

Additionally, there is a known issue commonly referred to as “camera snaps.” When the camera is abruptly repositioned after Wesker’s first leap, it may snap to a different location while the character continues moving in the original direction. This creates a misalignment between the camera’s orientation and Wesker’s actual movement vector, making the second leap difficult to control and significantly reducing the predictability of the ability. Collectively, these issues substantially diminish Wesker’s responsiveness and consistency.

Furthermore, prior to patch 10.0.0, Wesker had a sidestep mechanic: holding a directional input (via movement stick or keys) while activating the dash/leap allowed a slight lateral shift. This feature was removed in patch 10.0.0 without apparent justification. The sidestep served as a high‑level tactical option, adding depth to Wesker’s kit and enabling skilled players to demonstrate advanced techniques. A similar concern relates to downward dashes: characters such as Blight, Oni, and Demogorgon are able to leap from elevated positions, whereas Wesker lacks this capability. This discrepancy creates an imbalance and detracts from the character’s overall usability and strategic flexibility.

  • He doesn’t need to be made stronger; he needs to be made stable, just as he was, and his interest needs to be reignited. Right now, his condition is very close to unplayable — please fix his behavior.
