Okay why does this game have such a hard time to register a hacker is in the game?

I don't know much about Anti Cheat Systems in Video games but most of them kick you out of the lobby the moment something happens that shouldn't be possible.

For example if a Survivor runs faster then any combination of haste perks together the game should notice something is wrong. Or when a killer swings 200 times per second. Or generators with 0 progress get instantly finished.

  • Bhvr uses free version of easy anti-cheat

  • AFAIK, there’s no server-side checks for impossible feats.

  • So basically, dead by daylight was not intended as a game that should have a server where the killer and the survivors play on. It was intended to be hosted by the killer.

After the introduction of dedicated servers it got pretty clear very fast, that the devs had a hard time migrating the existing mechanics to the new server architecture.

I'm guessing they used known paths to introduce new mechanics too, so as of today there are still many mechanics of both sides that the server does now have full authority over.

It's an architectural issue, that is not easily fixable in an existing, productive codebase.
