How would you improve the base game to be more various and innovative?
I'll start with survivor side. Retrieve the parts from the piles of scraps (like Jason's ones for survivors) and use them to repair gens
When they released deathgarden in the alpha/beta, they introduced 2 ways for scavengers to achieve their goals in the older versions of this game. One quite standard for most games, stay in the tower to power it up. Then they added an additional way to do it; get the key and take it to the tower.
But later on when the actual game was released the goal for scavengers was to collect blood and stay in the tower to deliver it there.
That's what dbd would gain by giving survivors the option to other mechanics while every killer is already quite unique.
Here's how it would work:
- At the start of the trial, search for parts needed to repair a generator. You can have up to one part required to place it on the generator. Parts are placed in the same places where Jason can take his weapons from
- Such generators require 3 parts total for a progress to happen
- Once the part has been placed on a generator, it stays there forever and the generator can be repaired by 33% total
- Killer can still damage the generators but that does not break parts placed on the generators
- Survivors repairs such generators 50% faster but the generators also regress 50% faster
Such change would not replace the standard generator. Instead, you'd get the chance of either repairing it as usual now, or you'd get that new base generator mechanic. All perks would still work, they are not interrrupted, and some generator perks would even have additional functions towards that new mechanic.
The numbers I gave are some I came up without further thinking, I was focusing on the new mechanic itself.
What are your ideas?

We sort of had that with blood gens, its just the spawns which made them unpredictable. Which spawns would make what you suggested unpredictable too.
