Nintendo Switch 2 Request: 60 FPS & Optimization for dbd
Hi Everyone & BHVR Team,
I’ve been a huge fan of Dead by Daylight for a long time and have put countless hours into the game. I absolutely love what the team has created, but as someone who plays a lot on Nintendo Switch, there’s one major issue that really holds the experience back — playing Killer at 30 FPS.
Playing Survivor in 30 FPS can be manageable, but controlling a Killer with lower frame rates, frame drops, and input latency during intense chases makes precision gameplay (like lunges, quick flicks, or using power-heavy Killers) feel very clunky and frustrating compared to other platforms.
With the Nintendo Switch 2, the hardware is more than capable of delivering a smooth experience. A proper Next-Gen patch for Switch 2 targeting 60 FPS (or at least unlocked/better optimized performance) and improved visual clarity would completely transform the game on this platform.
I know I’m not the only one — the entire Switch community and thousands of dedicated players upgrading to the Switch 2 would be extremely grateful for this update. It would bring back so many players and make playing Killer on handheld/console a genuine joy again.
Please consider putting a Switch 2 performance update on your roadmap!
Thanks for all your hard work on the game!

oh I agree me too have uncomfortable on my Nintendo switch 2 playing with killer
Agreed. Unforunately, me and six of my other friends in my friend group stopped playing over two years ago because of Behaviors failings on the Switch 1 version. We loved this game but… while they sadly got our money for the base game on the Switch 1, we no longer give them money for DLCs or micro transactions on either Steam or the Switch platforms because we were very disappointed to hear that they were not doing a Switch 2 version and couldn't justify giving them anymore money for the game. If they don't care, we don't care either, not to be rude but that's business.
If they ever announced a proper Switch 2 version one day, we'd happily get back into it but otherwise, we've moved on to many of the other better multiplayer games out on the Switch 2 currently.
