When will dbds Engine and coding get an update?

I feel like the game needs a huge health update.. constantly as survivor and killer it’s like the game is constantly going against you… also the fact that the killers ping highly impacts survivors game play is highly unfair. The game seriously needs an update to make it smoother and more accurate.

    Well, they did announce a big update series starting sometime next year.

    Though I fear ping issues aren’t easily solvable by engine fixes alone.

    BHVR does update the engine regularly.

    They are trying to speed up light to reduce latency but running into issues with physics.

    In terms of mostly rewriting from the ground up - second half of 2027.

    Cote in a recent interview said that massive update we're getting in the second half of 2027 is a separate team 'almost' writing DBD from scratch. It's effectively DBD2 without them releasing a sequel.
