GhostFace

Hello Behaviour Support,

I wanted to share my thoughts about Ghost Face because, as someone who genuinely loves this character, it's becoming increasingly frustrating to see his current state in Dead by Daylight.

Ghost Face desperately needs a major rework. His identity is built around stealth, stalking, and creating fear, but in practice, those mechanics simply don't hold up anymore. Whether you're playing against experienced survivors or even average players, stalking is often too slow, too inconsistent, and far too easy to deny. Lean stalking, which should be one of his signature strengths, rarely provides enough value to justify the time and risk involved.

At higher MMR, survivors constantly reveal Ghost Face, communicate his location, and deny his power before it can create any real pressure. Even at lower MMR, many players have learned how to counter him with very little effort. As a result, Ghost Face is often forced to play like a basic M1 killer with almost no meaningful power.

What makes this especially disappointing is that Ghost Face is one of the most iconic horror villains ever created. In the movies, he is terrifying because you never know where he is, when he will strike, or who is being watched. That feeling of suspense and fear is what makes Ghost Face special. Unfortunately, none of that translates well into his gameplay today.

It's genuinely heartbreaking to see such an iconic horror character reduced to one of the weakest and most outdated killers in the game. He deserves better, and so do the players who love him.

I'm not asking for unfair buffs or an overpowered killer. I'm asking for a modern rework that preserves his identity while making his power reliable and rewarding against today's survivor gameplay. Ghost Face should feel threatening because of his unique mechanics—not because players hope survivors make mistakes.

Please consider giving Ghost Face the significant attention he deserves. He has enormous potential, but in his current state, he feels left behind while many other killers have received meaningful improvements over the years.

Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.

  • I used to main ghostface back in the day and i never used his stalk ability. I personally felt that while yea getting an exposed surv or 2 was fun, the time stalking hoping they didnt see you ect and then going into chase and attacking was almost always equal or longer than just sneaking up and hitting twice for a down and gf is sneaky enough its trivial to sneak up on a gen.

I was able to win most of the time by just relying on the shroud itself and not having a TR or i would use stalk to pick out where survs were on low visibility maps. but there was not much value in the exposed part of his kit in my opinion.
