Omnipresent Evil's issue

Honestly, Jason's power is pretty great overall, no doubt. The spear's gameplay is familiar enough for both survivor and killer to get the hang of, and is hardly problematic. Omnipresent evil is very atmospheric, but ot just has one issue: you have zero idea if Jason is nearby, and considering his overall strength, he needs one. (Some people complain about his jumpscare being used near a resource near a gen, but i dont mind that since junpscare's strenth is relative to a pallet/vault's safety for a survivor.)

Currently, you have zero idea of hes near you, as the fog it creates is mapwide. If youre lucky and on a map with tall grass, you can see the grass move where he would be, but that wont ever give you enough time to react to his presence. Its resulted in players doing nothing while the fog is active. Perhaps that may just be because people have yet to develop an effective counterplay, assuming there is one, but even so, Jason feels too strong to not have some sort of que that he's nearby in omnipresent evil mode. Sadako and huntres have a lullaby, pig is slow while shes undetectable, springtrap, ghostface, and myers all have loud ambient noise, slinger is 4.4 and has the ringing noise when you're being aimed at.

Yes, jason only has one shot at a time, like springtrap and deathslinger, but his "reload" is quicker than springtrap's, while moving at 4.6 while holding a spear too, because he only needs to reach a hook or scrap pile to reload, which are often within reach. Slinger can reload instantly, but jason has mobility, undetectable, and while he and slinger can hit the same shots through small gaps, Jason can get downs from his shots, where as if slinger doesn reel them in, they're only left in deep wounds.

Not to mention jason has a "just leave" effect that effects all survivors basekit. And as opposed to other stealth killers, he has an m2/a viable one. Furthermore, omnipresent evil gives Jason information on the location and actions of survivors if hes close enough. Sadako with her tvs is the only comparable thing, showing when a survivor takes/insterts a tape, or by playing the cursed video if a survivor is within rage of a TV.

Simply put, he outclasses a lot of killers by being a professional of all trades pretty much. But what exacerbates all that is the fact that he has no ques when hes in omnipresent evil. You can never tell if he broke chase to do something else, or reload, if hes approaching your gen, or if he happens to pass you by for a rotation while youre running/walking. You have zero indication, and jumpscare doesn't give enough of a time to react either. It allows him to easily be in the right spot at the right time to initiate a chase pretty much always, which is a problem consider his numerous strengths.

One could nerf other aspects of his kit, but the spear is fine and allows for a lot of skill expression. Nerfing grab speeds or putting a cooldown on the spear would feel clunky. Jumpscare's strength is proportional to the safety of a resource and its quantity, so it in of itself is fine. That just leaves omnipresent evil. Nerfing it by giving jason a lullaby while in it, or limiting the fogs range to a radius around him would give survivors some counterplay to kit without making him feel worse to play as.

At least, thats how i felt when playing against him.
