Killer Idea: The Archivist
Ps — Readers
This is a shortened, incomplete version that excludes a custom map and contains less refined details regarding the killer's power, lore, and add-ons.
"I thought I was alone in the archives. I felt the chill—that unnatural, biting cold that signals his arrival—but the room remained empty. Then, the walls began to bleed ink. Shadows stretched across the floor, not mimicking my movements, but hunting them. He doesn't walk; he slips between the margins of this reality, existing in the negative space between thoughts. I tried to run, but he was already there, waiting, his fingers tracing the air like he was turning a page in a book that decided my ending. We are just ink on his parchment, waiting to be blotted out."

Lore
Before he was a phantom of ink and parchment, he was an obsessive historian in a forgotten era, a man who believed that every human life was a story that could be perfected through editing. He spent decades in his crumbling library, meticulously documenting the lives of others, convinced that he held the authority to decide which stories were worth preserving and which deserved to be erased. As his obsession deepened, he began to view his own reality as a messy, poorly written draft, obsessing over the "errors" in the lives of those around him until he began to take matters into his own hands.
He began to "correct" his subjects, leading them into the silence of his archives where their narratives were forcefully brought to an end. He treated every abduction like a final chapter, meticulously staging their disappearances to ensure their stories concluded exactly as he saw fit. When the authorities finally closed in on his sanctuary, they found thousands of pages filled with erratic, terrifying notes, but the historian had vanished. The room smelled of wet ink and metallic rot, and the walls were covered in frantic, impossible scratch marks that seemed to pulse in the dark.
The Entity drew him into the Fog, recognizing a being who valued the structure of a tragedy more than life itself. Now, as The Archivist, he no longer records history; he enforces it. He stalks the trials as a judge of narrative, viewing the Survivors as unruly characters that must be trimmed and finished. He glides through the margins of the trial, eager to blot out the mistakes he finds in the flesh, ensuring that every soul is finally, and permanently, brought to their conclusion.
Load-Out
Unique Perks
Hex: {Literal Interpretation}: You take the rules of the trial literally. Whenever a Survivor completes a generator, it regresses at 100/125/150% speed for 20 seconds. During this time, any survivor within 8 meters of the generator suffers from the Exposed status effect.
Fictional Malice: Your presence is felt before it is seen. When you are stunned by a pallet, the entity creates a barrier of ink blocking the vault location of that pallet for 10/12/14 seconds.
Drafted Demise: Your Obsession becomes the focus of your narrative. When your Obsession is hooked, the nearest two Survivors have their auras revealed for 6/8/10 seconds, and you gain a 5% Haste effect for 10 seconds.
Prestige
Prestiging The Archivist will automatically add Tier I of his Unique Perks to the inventories of all other Killers. Prestige twice more to add Tier II and III respectively.
Power: Ink Manipulation {Sub-power: Manifestation & De-manifestation}
Passive Ability: Ink Wells
The Archivist manifests 10 Ink Wells and 4 Ink Blotters at random locations throughout the map.
Teleport: Press M2 to teleport to any active Ink Well.
The Spill: Upon emerging, a radius of 6 meters around the well becomes Stained Ground for 15 seconds. Survivors walking through this zone are Hindered (10% speed reduction) and have their Auras revealed for 20 seconds.
Ink Blotters: 4 Ink Blotters (or Blotting Papers) spawn in specialized desks/stations around the map. A survivor must go to a station, pick up a Blotter, and carry it.
The Interaction: The survivor uses the Blotter to soak up and "Purge" an Ink Well (Purging takes 4.5 seconds.) While carrying a saturated Blotter, the survivor leaves a literal trail of ink on the ground (acting as temporary scratch marks for 10 seconds) and their aura is intermittently revealed to The Archivist for 2 seconds every 5 seconds they have the Blotter. They must take the dirty Blotter to a different station to "dispose" of it or burn it (each station has a different animation wheter its burning it, throwing it away, ringing it etc the animation time doesnt change though and it takes 1.5 seconds), or risk holding onto it and giving away their position.
Special Ability: Marginalization
The Archivist can toggle between two states (1s transition).
1. Manifested State (Default)
Speed: 115% (4.6 m/s)
Terror Radius: 32 meters
Function: Fully visible, capable of Basic Attacks (M1), and allows the use of Ink Wells (M2).
2. Marginalized State
Speed: 105% (4.2 m/s)
Terror Radius: 0 meters (emits an eerie "cold-swoosh" audio cue within 16 meters).
The Reach: Holding the ability bind enters the Phase State (10% movement penalty).
Phase: Target a survivor within 12 meters. This ability has aim assist and bypasses pallets, walls, and other obstacles.
Tethering: A spectral ink limb erupts from the environment behind the survivor, tethering them for 2 seconds.
Logged: If the survivor fails to break the tether by moving out of range, they are Logged (Oblivious + Aura reveal for 6s).
Snap-Teleport: While a survivor is tethered, press M2 to instantly pull your physical form to their location.
