Server locations automatically scale down in "covered" regions. Please keep them on.
Can we make it so servers don't get scaled down? The difference on survivor between 45ms of ping and 30ms of ping is extremely significant and is the difference between me wanting to play vs not wanting to. It also forces me to use the dbd server selector "Make Your Choice" just to see what server I'm on.
These are the servers i'm aware of that are impacted:
- US East(Ohio)
- Canada(Central)
- Europe(London)
Basically, during times of significant overload(chapter/event releases) these servers can be overloaded and become impossible to play(due to low capacity). They're also sometimes shut off during low player activity, sometimes for days at a time, anytime there's a general low population of players(between events, hard times, during the day/mornings, etc).
Also would love for something like a server selector to be in game, with heavy killer restrictions(Auto default, force closest otherwise) and VPN punishments. Show the server you're connected to in the lobbies as well, and the killers' ping(or max killer ping bar). If the netcode is always going to be as sensitive as it is, this is the easiest path to finally clearing this hump is by doing these things which require the least amount of effort, as opposed to higher server tickrates, better server networking infrastructure, client prediction, and server validation fixes.
