If not an abandon option for all gens popping how about increase the timer based in exit gates.

if you're not gonna add an abandon option for killers when the gens pop, why not make it so that when a survivor enters the exit gate, the timer increases each survivor in their, so if someone is stupid and sits in the exit gate while their friends save the timer increases, and the same for if they heal at the exit gate and all 4 of them are there, honestly each survivor it increases by 2x. so if four survivors are there in increases by 8x.

  • I don't think it would be much of a diffrence unless if the "decreasing time Zone" was very large, in which case would be unfair since anyone who is reasonable on their way to the gate but still on the triggering area would be punished and so would their team

But if said area were just the inner area of the gate or a little further it would barely make any difference since most survivors could still wait outside it and still make their way out before they're hit by pretty much amy of the killers

  • I am absolutely sure the game is able to detect where everyone is at any given time.

They could make it so when survivors stay in the exist gate or not actively move towards/move away from the gate while the killer is not even remotely near them or the gate and no one is hooked the entity gives them a ten second grace period and then they die.

that honestly has a bit to many ifs and when's but it sounds thematic.

The best solution is actually super simple. When a gate is open the killer can go into the basement, a circle of runes or entity spider legs or whatever appears. If no survivor is hooked the killer has to stand in the circle for three seconds and then the endgame timer gets reduced to twenty seconds.

Leaving the circle obviously puts the timer back at its full capacity and deactivates the circle so it can't be used again.

And booom the problem is gone just like that

  • Make it so when you're in the exit area, a fog gate appears and blocks your view of the arena, and you are oblivious. You can still pass through without hindrance if you want to re-enter, and the effects go away when you do, but loitering too close to the exit adds an element of danger…

I can agree with this idea, but maybe have a latency for 5 seconds each time.
