Springtrap rework idea
Ok so as Scott Jund had said about this PTB is springtrap's buffs don't address the thematic issue…sure he's balanced and fun but he just isn't "thematic."
So what it a big theme of FNAF? Security cams, and doors, that's been a staple in most of the titles of the franchise…especially the cameras. Which he has in DBD but the big problem is that survivors don't have any reason to interact with them. It's just a big risk with nothing to earn really. That's the issue imo.
So how about this, injuring a survivor with his axe inflicts them with a status we'll call "springlocked" which for now will only make survivors broken. The axe already does this by default but what if the broken effect lingered for the duration that they springlocked (shown on the HUD). The survivor can choose to wait out this timer but staying injured against a killer with consistent undetectable is somewhat risky. However what if you can travel through the security doors to remove this status effect? While you're at it you can use cams to figured out where he is so you can check if you're in the clear.
Basically the idea is axe applies debuff, you can wait out the debuff or use the doors to get rid of it both are risky plays but you choose which one to take HOWEVER you can use the cams and use that info to make it less risky. They can make the debuff be something more interesting and unique. Hell they can even do something entirely different there just needs to be a reason to interact with doors AT ALL. It just feels somewhat lacking from the survivor POV and that's what he really needs I feel.
