Ghost face rework

Hello Behaviour Interactive team,

My name is Nikolai Ribeiro, and I’m a Dead by Daylight player who really enjoys Ghost Face’s design and identity.

I would like to share a rework idea focused on making Ghost Face more faithful to the Scream franchise while keeping balanced gameplay.

Rework concept – “Terror Phone Call”:
Ghost Face replaces or modifies his stealth ability by initiating a phone call with a survivor.

  • Ghost Face activates the power and calls a survivor.
  • The survivor can choose to accept or decline the call.
  • If accepted, Ghost Face speaks while the survivor is presented with a short multiple-choice question.
  • If the survivor answers incorrectly, their aura is revealed in white for 5 seconds.
  • Ghost Face can end the call at any time.
  • The ability has clear cooldowns and does not work during chases, hooks, or downed states.

Why this works:

  • Phone calls are a core part of Ghost Face’s identity in Scream.
  • The mechanic focuses on psychological pressure and mind games.
  • Survivors retain counterplay by choosing whether to accept the call and answering correctly.
  • It adds tension without removing balance.
