Why don’t you allow players to select their region?

Allowing region selection would be the single biggest quality-of-life improvement for this game.

    Actually, allowing people to select their region would result in a worse experience because you would have even more people cheating with an artificially high ping than we already have with the VPN abuser problem. This is a bad idea.

    What we need instead is ping limits enforced in lobbies so that players cannot abuse high ping by playing outside their home region.

    That suggestion would also cause problems for players who are friends with people from other regions, and play with 100-200 ping.
    But a solution would be to have an upper limit of around 200-250 ping, so that VPN abusers with over 500 ping are not allowed.

    That’s a good idea, and I agree.

    However, the real problem is that the system favors players with high ping, and that needs to be fixed.
