DONATE TO THE PYRAMID HEAD CONSERVATION STATUS THEY ARE ALMOST EXTINCT

SPECIES REPORT: The Pyramid Head Main (Endangered Player Type)

Compiled by: The Behavioural Ecology Department, Dead by Daylight Archives
Date: November 2025
Status: Critically Endangered

Overview

Once roaming freely through The Fog, Pyramid Head mains (scientific name: Executioneris Aestheticus) were known for their brooding silence, artistic torment trails, and complete refusal to run any meta perks. Sadly, their population has dwindled to near extinction, with only a few spotted in the wild—usually in the early hours of the morning or during nostalgic Twitch streams.

Habitat

Pyramid Head mains prefer dark, oppressive environments with good line-of-sight for their Punishment of the Damned. Common habitats once included Midwich Elementary School and The Game, but recent ecosystem changes (aka map reworks) have driven them into hiding. Most sightings now occur in Custom Matches, where they can roam freely without judgment.

Diet

Their natural diet consists of:

  • Survivor screams (preferably from flashlight clickers)
  • The satisfaction of landing a perfect ranged Punishment
  • Occasional salt from post-game chat logs

Sadly, due to a decline in available prey (Survivors now bunny-hop unpredictably), Pyramid Heads are often forced to feed on their own tears.

Behavior

Highly territorial and stoic. Will occasionally crouch and stare after downing a Survivor to assert dominance. Known to tunnel only when narratively appropriate. Communicates primarily through heavy breathing and proximity chat growls.

Mating displays include placing Trails of Torment in artistic patterns and sending friend requests titled “ggs nice loop.”

Conservation Efforts

Current conservation programs include:

  • Buff petitions on Reddit
  • “Bring Back the Bonk” awareness campaigns
  • Reintroduction attempts via limited-time Rift cosmetics

Behaviour Interactive has yet to confirm any breeding success, though several survivors have claimed to see “a baby Pyramid Head main” trying out the Killer for the first time—only to immediately switch to Wesker.

How You Can Help

  • Do not teabag after every loop.
  • If you see a Pyramid Head in the wild, let them cage you—it makes them happy.
  • Consider running into a torment trail once in a while; it boosts morale.

    you summoned me, I came

i wanna see more triangle men as well and I myself might just become one because why not

  • This was hilarious haha. Well done.

Tbh I feel like PH could use more interesting things added to his kit. Like I could just do Dracula with hellfire for almost the same thing but he just also gets a ton more.

Maybe something more interesting with the trails.

This is kind of a power creep issue in general. Quite a few older killers kits feel outdated and power crept by newer killers that just do so much more. Like if PH came out in 2025 to dbd he would’ve had an entire extra component on top of his current power probably.
