I need help with the pig

Yesterday i bought pi and ghoul, pig is ALOT more fun, and Ken just sucks, his token system is broken and needs a buff or a rework, otherwise i feel locked up half the time- ANYWAYS

I have trouble with the pig for when to put on the traps. Do it too early- won't have it for the endgame. Do it too late, and they won't activate at the gate. i try to do it at either 2 or 3 gens completed.

meanwhile im tryna figure out how Ken is "S tier"..

thanks!

  • careful saying anything about kaneki will spawn "them" lol

in seriousness i recommend using 2 traps early game and 2 late game

or u can do an evil thing and keep one trap when u hit 1 gen, use it and stalk the victim

note the survivors cannot leave from the gate if the trap is on but can escape through hatch

Yes ive found that out the hard way… thanks!

  • You don't buy the ghoul dlc for ken, you buy it for forever entwined.

As for the traps, maybe like pig with tv's said keep 2 for late game. Then maybe try running something like a hex that'll also waste survivor time and give them something else to worry about on top of the 2 early traps.

I know that plaything (or whatever they renamed it after Cenobite left) is decent for this but I can see something like nothing but misery or devour hope being other decent options.

    Also ghoul isn't S he's A below Dracula.

  • the value of the party hats is more the slowdown than the actual detonation. it's typically better to just use them as you get them.

if you'd like to keep tormenting people, a scream perk like Face the Darkness could help make the hats a tad more dangerous for you.

Ghoul is really strong but he's not very fun if you don't like him. it's ok to not like him

  • Use your party hats early. Pig is like Oni in the way that the first hit and securing the first down are critical to your power snowballing and building pressure. The sooner you can get your traps out the better, at least in her current iteration. In the past you could save them for endgame, but that was like back before 2019 so the strats have changed.

  • Some great responses already from some known great Piggies... 🐽

To throw my hat in tne ring, the general advice I give regarding head traps is 90% of the time, just get them out when you can. It is never too late on Pig to get a bad chase that you can fumble the game over, where being conservative can be veey costly.

If you have 2 traps out already and neither is active, maybe then you might want to hold onto your traps, but for the most part, just throw them out there dude.

If you don't wanna worry about it so much, take Deadlock(No Holds Barred) and Jigsaw's Sketch/Jigsaw's Annotated Plan so you have 5 traps and can go a little more ham with throwing them out.

As a pig enjoyer, the main thing outside of practicing when and how to use the dash, is the traps. This is less a skill thing and more a strategy thing. Most newer pig players think the traps are to get kills on survivors, but that is not what they are best used at. They take so long to kill a survior, and spending time going after a survivor with a trap is 3 other survivors who are just on gens.

The traps are built-in slowdown that the survivors must deal with. Don't actively chase survivors that have a trap on their head, trap them, hook them, and then move on and ignore them.

Yeah, maybe you randomly run across them while they are running around trying to get the trap off, and you smack them or something, that can happen, but just ignore them. Often times just slug them and force even more pressure on the team.
