So a lot of perks have been buffed by adding a 2nd functionality like Poised. So for Technician I'm thinking of adding a mechanic that used to be in the game and all Survivors could do it.

And that would be the Gen tap. Where you can immediately stop a regressing Gen by just touching it. I think it would make a lot of sense on a perk named Technician with the flavor text of "You are apt at handling machinery with the greatest care and precision."

It would make a perk usually used by new players used by more and I don't think it would be meta

    I don't think it should add gen-tapping but Technician could do with some changes, such as:

    • Removing the extra skillcheck miss penalty, makes no sense for it to be there
    • Reduce miss skill check penalty by 25% so instead of -10 charges, it's -7.5.

    There, made a perk that's actually good for newer players to use.

    Absolutely not, gen tapping was cancerous and rightly removed.
