Victor can now initiate a chase with Survivors, what does that mean for the Twins?

Is it really just for bloodpoints? Or are there any perks that work with this now?

  • Yeah kinda just for BP, the only new perk interaction is with predator the problem is Victor can't see auras so it only triggers when you land a pounce but predator aura read is only 4 seconds and you already see Victor's aura when he attaches for 5 seconds so you'd need to run lethal pursuer and all you get is one extra second of aura reading over predator.

Victor can't use beast of prey or game afoot so yeah it's not actually that exciting.

  • There are indeed Perks in this game that rely on chase status to do things. Eg. Cut Loose, Quick Gambit, Troubleshooter, Game Afoot, Play With Your Food, Predator. I don't think it will affect Twins significantly (Maybe you could use Monitor & Distressing to turn Charlotte into a static 52m Terror Radius emitter while Victor is out chasing? Combine that with Infectious Fright… nope, charlotte doesn't have a TR while victor is controlled, dangit) but it's mostly just a win for fairness, it's how it should work.

  • i think windows can get blocked by the entity now vs victor

  • IMO mainly two things:

    • BPs. I dont know how the BP-gain for Twins was, I barely play them. But I can imagine that the Hunting-Category was pretty low, since you do most of your chases with Victor.
    • consistency. Victor is a Killer Power, but in the end it is a chase - one player is running after another player. So I think it makes sense to let Victor enable a chase.

Its mainly for the entity blocker machanic. So you can't infinite victor

  • The change was done so that survivors would have their AFK points reset if Victor was chasing them.

The biggest side effect is that it’s massively harder for Victor to chase survivors, or avoid pallet stuns, because he now has chase music blasting in his ears. I don’t think people realize just how easy it was for Victor to hear survivors through walls, when he never had chase music.

The minor side effect is windows can be entity blocked in Victor chases, but that isn’t really useful, considering he moves so quickly. And it’s certainly not as useful as being able to easily hear survivors through walls.
