new AFK system is unfair
very simply, i do not like the new AFK system that has been implemented. it is far too harsh, unfair, and is frankly a misleading system.
if it's an AFK system, i should not be able to get crows over my head while i'm in chase, or while i'm moving, or while i'm searching for a generator. it entirely removes the aspect of hiding and stealth and turns DBD into not a game of hide and seek as it's been advertised, and instead a "do gens NOW" game with no consideration for the actual problem it's attempting to solve which in my opinion is not what DBD should be.
not to mention, it is extremely punishing on players who are new and still learning how to play the game, which is ironic considering the influx of new players after the FNAF chapter and how DBD is not a beginner-friendly game in the first place. meanwhile, killers can abuse all of this to get easy 4ks with little to no resistance, resulting in an extremely unfair imbalance between the many playstyles a killer can use vs how BHVR seems to be forcing all survivors to play in one specific way with no variation.
i was excited for the new AFK system because it sounded good on paper and i also play killer and have had my fair share of extreme hiding scenarios. one match i had two davids hide around the map and just throw pebble every 5 seconds, refusing to come out and just baiting me with loud noise notifs. i think both killer and survivor should be able to play in the ways they want without being excessively punished for it.
