Who is the target audience for gifted/earned currencies?
The weekly gift is often bloodpoints but sometimes we receive rift Fragments. Interestingly this week was 10 Fragments but for players who have completed the rift instead earned 250,000 bloodpoints. Yet, the rift will close within 2 weeks. So who is the targeted audience with this gift?
Players who have not completed the rift at this point are either very new or casual. If so, they did not know or care about any earned cosmetics. These players are most likely missing core progression such as unlocking perks; progression that would need bloodpoints and not rift Fragments. Do these weekly gifts benefit new or veteran players more? Worst case scenario an active but busy player may be tier 85+ and because they were ~115 or less tiers from completion they would have earned 5,000 bloodpoints in place of the 250,000.
So why does the store offer a conversion rate? If each fragment is worth 25,000 bloodpoints by going off this conversion rate then why are archive earned rift Fragments tossed aside? Players who have achieved tier 200 are completely shafted when doing current tome/event tome challenges as the rift Fragments go to complete waste with no conversion to bloodpoints?
I think if the store has a gift it should always be bloodpoints, as it's the only currency that maintains value regardless of time spent in game. If rift Fragments are awarded they should not be awarded after the rift is halfway over. Archive (and soon to be quests) should also follow a conversion rate offering bloodpoints instead of simply throwing away rift Fragments. This way veterans are able to keep progression, casual players are able to keep up, and neither side feels they have a wasted currency.

I think this is a bad way of handling it. I mean, it is great that you get BPs insteead of Rift Fragments if you completed the Rift. I was at Tier 193 or something like that, so it brought me one Rift Tier aka 5k BPs. I just think that Rift Fragments should not be the only thing in a weekly gift, especially not that late in the Rift.
