The soft-lock issue is not restricted to Wesker.
Was playing with my friend Wesker now and I, as Nemesis, got soft-locked while grabbing (catch) a Meg that was opening a gate.
Maybe internally (game code) when Wesker downs a surv by grabbing and slamming them the game register it as a catch.
So… catching survs seems to be the issue.
