Keep getting banned for refusing to play against hackers

It's been known that hackers can and mostly will prevent you from leaving the game regularly when found out. The amount of players using hacks is currently unknown and unknowable but I myself have happened to encounter up to one every 5 rounds, depending on the hour. It's frustrating and a complete waste of time. Honest players should NOT be held accountable as we are for others cheating in-game. Since BHVR isn't willing to actually do something about this problem (they even have massively facilitated it), I suggest automatic banning should be suspended. We should not be forced to play against hackers, neither should we be prevented from playing a game we paid for.

If you're talking about removing the DC penalties absolutely not. Every time they have to turn them off for whatever reason evil things happen. Players begin instantly leaving for the slightest inconvenience, and the trials quickly get out of control.

Get found or downed first? DC. Get an unfavorable map? DC. Face a killer they dislike? DC. Someone is running No Mither? DC. A rat farts over there somewhere? DC.

Should someone be hacking/cheating then record it and report them. If valid they'll be banned in one of the waves.

  • People who DC in those cases usually also refuses to participate the rest of the round or force to kill themselves in the same scenarios, which is worse for the rest of the players. DCing replaces that player with a bot at least. The solution is even simpler when the killer is the one who DCs. So the question which remains is what case is worse.

Don't try to make believe reporting hackers actually works. Everyone knows it does nothing. The amount of hackers in the game stays the same simply because they ban (if they do ban) ACCOUNTS, not HACKERS. On the other hand, there's even several posts and videos where players show they've reported hackers properly and nothing is done about it (I include myself in that lot).

I believe it's actually better, considering the unbearable amount of hackers in the game, to investigate why people DC and sanction accordingly AFTER it's found out that the reason why they did it is unjustified, than banning automatically. Besides, auto-ban treats everyone as potentially guilty because it does not differentiate those who do it because of intolerable behaviours of others from those who commit unsportsmanlike conducts.
