Good-bye, Bloodpoints Perks ๐Ÿ˜”

Beast of Prey is now the only perk that will award you extra BP.

Sad to see these get Removed. I'll miss Distressing ๐Ÿ˜”

  • I think it was kinda inevitable, tbh.

Iโ€™m honestly more surprised that it didnโ€™t happen sooner.

  • Inevitable yes... but does anyone feel like this "buff" still leaves Distressing woefully under par? A bigger TR is actually a detriment, so you're relying on perk synergy to get value...

It gives TR at just over 41m... for a 32m TR... we get to be Wesker? Like what does it synergise with?

    • Doctor Static Blast
    • Legion Feral Frenzy (no real benefit)
    • Wesker (for the funnies)
    • Unnerving (trash perk)
    • Overwhelming Presense (extremely niche that distressing doesn't do enough for)
    • Coulrophobia (situational)
    • Septic Touch (trash perk)
    • Infectious Fright (decent, but very niche for distressing... MAAAAAYBE Pig value)
    • Starstruck (decent, but niche with distressing, maybe decent on Wraith)
    • Dissolution (unnecessary with distressing)

Like maybe at 50% (48m) I can start seeing it getting value as a pseudo stealth, cause survivors hear your TR often and become apathetic to it... and at that range it's making some of the perks above actually kinda decent... Starstruck might even be pretty gnarly...

    But at 30% I can't see it ๐Ÿ˜’

  • you guys have no idea what it was like back in 2018 when you left a match with an average of 15,000 to 20,000 BP.

In comparison, we are still drowning in blood points after this change.

  • I do find it strange they wanted to remove BP from perks, especially these ones which aren't up there as it is.

It is disappointing and I am unhappy at the decision, considering the grind in place. It may not make much difference, but gave a reason to use perks which were applied less often, and gave an extra incentive to use the weaker perks.

There's no reason why they should be removed. It's probably something we'll forget in the long run, but it added variety and is a move which - alongside when Hillbilly was nerfed some time back - is BHVR just doing weird stuff for no logical reason. Stupid decision really.

    Laughs in BBQ and WGLF.

I think they decided to do this so perks don't become used only because of the bonus BP. So my assumption is that if the perk is weak or has a low usage rate, they can buff it accordingly without the bonus BP skewering the stats.

But don't take my word for it though they could have their own reasoning.

I believe that was the reason they gave when they removed the BP bonus from BBQ. It was my assumption that the same reasoning extended to the rest of the bonuses.

it's decent buff to doctor. i already use distressing+2 calm add-on doctor with coulrophobia but i still think it's pretty bad.
