Feedback to the cosmetic team
First of all, I - and I am pretty sure everyone else within this community - appreciate the hard work of the cosmetic team. Over the years you've evolved in a really great direction. The best proof of this is the rift: The first few rifts were kinda empty and some of them didn't even had full cosmetics. Nowadays, the rift is really amazing; full of great and unique cosmetics for so many survivors and killers . It also include recolors of older cosmetics in the free pass which is also really nice. The community cosmetic contest is also a great idea and I am more than happy that you do this every year!
However, the Cosmetic team - or at least some of their members - make some mistakes or do bad choices that have a big impact on the gameplay and I want to show you what it is so you can hopefully prevent these mistakes and fix the current ones:
- The Killerplayer plays in first person which means their fov is already limited. Having a weapon that covers half of your screen is not really helpful. You really need to stop with these weapons that covers too much of the player's screen. The new Cosmetic for the Dredge looks amazing and I was interested in buying it but I refused after I've saw @skinboy142 post about this skin. The Unwanted Toy cosmetic has a similar issue. The new rift weapon for the Wraith as well as his MYM weapon, the weapon for the Huntress, or the tail from the Xenomprh clone have a similar issue to name a few other examples. It is okay when one weapon is a little bit bigger or smaller than the others when it fits the style (e.g. the Sparkling Slauhter weapon from the Unknown is smaller than its Axe) but these weapons and some others are way too big and need to be smaller. These big weapons are just awful and really bad.
- Speaking of weapons, the Deathslinger weapons are either bugged or bad coded. Watch this video from Akeeno because it explains and shows what is wrong with these weapons.
- Some cosmetics make a killer much taller than they actually are which is also a huge disadvantage. It is okay when it's only a little bit but on some cosmetics it is too much: The sword from the War Is Hell skin for the Dredge makes it much easier to track him on taller loops. Some head cosmetics from the Spirit make her much taller which is also a huge disadvantage. The bunny ears from the Night Hum skin for the Oni makes it easier to track him.
- fluttering cosmetic: When you use the Incendiary Fury cosmetic for the Spirit and look a little bit down, her seevel flutter which is really confusing because when you end the phase, it looks a little bit like a survivors that tries to fov you. Please, fix this cosmetic and do this never again.
I really hope this will reach the cosmetic team because you do a great job and it is so sad that players cannot use some of your great cosmetics due to the huge disadvantage.
