I used cross progression to link my Steam to my Xbox..What happens if I delete my entire Steam?

I don’t want/need my Steam account anymore and was planning to delete it entirely. If I do, will my xbox cross progression account stay as is? Or will it lose all the progress brought over from Steam?

    That seems a bit drastic. You could just let the account sit dormant and maybe one day come back to it.

    If everything works for you on Xbox, it'll be fine. But what possible reason could you have to delete your Steam account?
