Make Reassurance Better

So when reassurance first released it did not have the limit of only once per hook stage as it now does, this renders the perk very unviable as it requires you to be in a six meter radius of a hooked survivor but at that point just unhook, and the point of reassurance was to help with things like face camping or proxy camping but it just isn't viable.

A good change would be to make it so that if you're in chase and you are within 16/20/24 meters of a hooked survivor their hook progression would pause or give endurance when unhooking a survivor and it could linger for 2/3/4 seconds after depending on level. Another suggestion is if the killer is within 6/7/8 meters of a survivor on hook and you're within 16/24/32 meters of the hooked survivor it would also pause their hook progression.

This would help not only make the perk better but it would also help deal with campers in a fairly balanced way whilst still having it not be too strong and instead just have it deter from camping survivors. If you have any suggestions I'd like to know.

  • I think Reassurance is mostly fine. They could do with upping the range a little bit, maybe.

That, and make Reassurance work once per hook stage instead of once per hook instance, so if the Survivor somehow manages to go to the next stage of the sacrifice they get to use it again.

Most importantly, though, Survivors should do a little thumbs up as it activates while running.

  • I also think a range buff could help improve reassurance but I still keeps camping a survivor as an option since it only works once per instance.

This could also be a good change because if a killer camps a survivor out and it only works once per instance it just becomes useless for that survivor.

And yes that is 100% the most important thing, they should do a thumbs up

  • While going to such complex changes wouldn't be necessary, the perk could use a decent range buff as well as the ability to use it through floors/ceilings.

While perks giving "get out of jail free" cards should be handled with care (old DH, old FTP+BU, original Sprint Burst w/old exhaustion etc.) Anti-tunnel and Anti-camp perks should be given more "oomph" to compensate for the fact that they are effectively useless if the Killer doesn't tunnel/camp.
