Suggestion: Anti camp feature that can work
After playing Lights Out mode as a killer i can say i had the most fun with the game. Spooking survivors, giving them chase, popping right in front of their face, and letting them go after they do all gens.
But as a survivor, 3 games in a row, the killers were camping hooks and tunneling, and i just didnt feel it was fun and went back to killer to play and have fun.
So what went wrong? No anti camp messures other than anti FACE camping which dont really do much but force the killer to camp from a few meters away.
I would say we already have a PERFECT anti camp feature with one of the killers - Pyramid Head. His special ability "cage of atonement" is a perfect example how you prevent hook camping:
1) Send the survivor to a cage
2) Survivor teleports away from the killer
3) Survivor does not have auta where he is
4) If Pyramid Head gets too close, the cage will relocate on the map.
Thats how we need hooks to work.
1) Hook a survivor to a random hook
2) Entity takes the survivor and puts him somewhere else
3) Aura not visible to the killer
4) If killer somehow finds the survivor, he should be relocated
This has both ups and downs for both sides.
Killer will not be able to camp anymore, and he has a choice to look around the map for hooked survivor or prevent survivors from doing gens. But also in the the end game after all gens are done, killer won't be able to camp out his last kill, so survivors will either have a choice to escape or attempt a save.
"If we have that mechanic, then there is no need for cage of atonement" - false. Cage will still work perfectly fine with The Executioner as an easy hook without a fear for other survivors to attempt a save.
I think this is the best solution without punishing any side and the only way to prevent camping. Tunneling, unfortunately, will not be possible to remove without taking completely the ability from killers to hit survivors.
I am killer main myself, and i see this as an absolute win for both sides, killer wont be able to camp, and "dirty" survivors wont be able to make unsafe rescues right in front of the killer even if he was not camping.
