Invincibility frames

Why does survivor gets so many i-frames after unhooks? They can run for 20-30 meters before taking any damage in some cases. Who's bright idea was that?

"fix this thing no one is reporting".

It's clearly a bug if this is happening, I've personally never seen it happen or seen anyone else mention it - try reporting it instead of posting something in "General Discussions".

it happens after a survivor unhooks themselves, it's like they adjusted the animation to be shorter but didn't shorten the i-frames, so the survivor has invincibility for about a second and a half longer

My point still stands, people need to report this.

The original post states that they're running "20 - 30 metres" while being invincible.

  • It was implemented a while ago and stated on the dev stream to prevent killers from knocking down the individual immediately upon unhooking alongside the hooking of a Survivor removing exhaustion. It was designed to help counter campers. Now you actually have to time your blows.

If you time them properly people will fall down just about as quick, but if you don't they'll get a jump on you as you do your full wipe animations. In short, pay attention to how long the person has been unhooked for otherwise you're just screwing yourself.
  • Hooking next to the gate means a guaranteed free escape.
