Artist Needs the Knight/Skull Merchant Treatment

With the recent changes to both The Knight and The Skull Merchant, I think it's time you guys go back to another extremely problematic Killer that is known as "The Artist".

Her current kit is an unhealthy blend of anti-looping and forced lose-lose situations for the Survivors due to the fact that she can place her crows down in paths to force Survivors into chaining loops or taking a hit that is far too generous for Artist. This needs to be changed and her power needs to be made more true to the intention.

As for what I personally believe needs to be changed to allow her to be a ranged-recon Killer:

The Nerfs

  • Dire Crows no longer spawn a damaging Flight Path over pallets or window vault locations.
  • Dire Crows no longer reset the duration of Idle Crows whenever you place them.
  • Dire Crows now have a smaller attack hitbox when fired.

The Buffs

  • The cooldown of Birds of Torment is now altered:
    • Idle Disintegration: 5 seconds
    • Firing 1 Crow: 3 seconds
    • Firing 2 Crows: 5 seconds
    • Firing 3 Crows: 9 seconds
  • Dire Crows now spread out over time as they travel.
    • As they travel, the swarm/attack hitbox of the Dire Crows widens by up to +2 meters.
    • As they travel, the Killer Instinct hitbox of the Dire Crows widens by up to +4 meters.
  • Dire Crows now cause Killer Instinct to be applied when a Survivor is near them while idle.
  • Dire Crows now have the option to be placed as stationary traps for The Artist to plant for up to 30 seconds, during which time the aforementioned effect occurs.
    • This also reduces the amount of Dire Crows you can have in your hand at one given time when using them for more offense-oriented purposes.
    • These crows cannot be placed within 8 meters of window or pallet locations, and 16 meters of hooks.
  • The cooldown window between summoning Dire Crows is now reduced to 0.5 seconds.
  • The cooldown after firing a Dire Crow is now reduced to 0.75 seconds if only one has been fired.
  • The duration of Idle Crows is increased to 15 seconds.

The Add-Ons

  • Thick Tar - New Effect: Stationary Dire Crows can no longer be destroyed by walking into them, but their Killer Instinct radius is reduced by 50%.
  • Oil Paints - New Effect: Increases the maximum outer range that Dire Crows can spread by an additional 0.5 meters.
  • Untitled Agony - New Effect: Increases your movement speed by 5% for 10 seconds whenever a Survivor is swarmed.
  • Still Life Crow - New Effect: Increases the duration that Stationary Dire Crows can remain idle by 20%.
  • Festering Carrion - Reduces the cooldown time of Birds of Torment after a Dire Crow takes flight by 20%.
  • O Grief, O Lover - Survivors swarmed by Dire Crows suffer from the Exhausted status effect. This effect lingers for 10 seconds after they remove the swarm.
  • Darkest Ink - New Effect: Grants the Undetectable status effect for 15 seconds whenever a Stationary Dire Crow is destroyed by a Survivor.
  • Severed Hands - Survivors within 4 meters of a swarmed Survivor will also be given a swarm.
  • Matias' Baby Shoes - New Effect: The auras of Survivors within 8 meters of Stationary Dire Crows will have their auras revealed to The Artist. This effect lingers for 3 seconds.
  • Ink Egg - New Effect: Dire Crows that hit Survivors past 40 meters deal damage to them. Dire Crows are always visible to Survivors upon activation.
  • Iridescent Feather - New Effect:
    • Removes the ability to summon Stationary Dire Crows.
    • Grants the ability to summon a Dire Crow Swarm that surrounds The Artist and grants the following effects for 30 seconds:
      • 50% reduced stun duration from pallets.
      • 30% increased pallet breaking, wall breaking, generator damaging and vaulting speeds.
    • Upon performing any of these actions, the Dire Crow Swarm will disperse and this ability goes on a 15 second cooldown.
  • Garden of Rot - New Effect:
    • Reduces Dire Crow capacity to 1.
    • Reduces the size of the Dire Crow swarm by 50%.
    • Grants The Artist the ability to instantly fire her Dire Crow at a Survivor.
    • Grants The Artist the ability to fire her Dire Crow in any direction.
    • Removes the ability to summon Stationary Dire Crows.
    • Removes the ability to damage Survivors with the Flight Path of the Dire Crow.

Even if these suggestions don't make it into the game, at least look at Artist in her current state of the game and fix her in order to make her a healthier Killer to play as and against, and more appealing for general audiences to play.
