Show other survivors name when they're close enough
Hi !
I have ADHD but I really like playing DBD despite being very bad at it (I can't focus on repairing generators AND the heartbeat sound, thank god there's the heart visual signal)
Another thing I'm bad at is noticing people around me that need my attention. I always go past my teammates without remarking them, unless they call me with their flashlight. Sometime I notice them, but I don't notice they are wounded and need me to heal them. My best friend is shouting at me in voicechat when I ignore her so I can't imagine the level of frustration of my matchmade teammates when it happens to hem. Sometimes I can't even put a name on the survivor next to me, and in voicechat my friend is like "help me", and I go past a survivor, think it's not her and she screams again 🙄
Recently I installed Outlast Trials, and witnessed something ✨marvelous✨ : My mates name AND their state show on screen when i'm within their range !
I know there's a major difference : In Day by Daylight you aren't supposed to know where your mates are unless you have a perk that show their auras. In Outlast Trials, when your team mate is too far away, their name disappears, meaning there's a range within which you can see their name. In DbD, this range could be smaller.
I also know there are perks that actually show very well the other survivor's aura. But I think it's a shame to use a perk slot for this just because I have ADHD. I'd rather have a very nerfed version of it (like the name of my mate is popping when I'm close enough and that's all)
There may be good reasons why it can't be possible (as I think it's one of the first game design elements a multiplayer game implements), if there is I'd be happy to discuss those
