When you apply Leader to someone, you should also be affected
Right now, I think Leader is a fairly decent perk that is underused for one main reason: Leader does not apply to the person using the perk, so users don't get to see yellow progress bar go brrrrrr. For some scenarios, such as self caring or cleansing a totem off in a corner, this makes sense. However, if you group up to do cooperative actions it only makes sense that you should also get the benefit of healing others slightly faster. Giving survivors tools to make healing more obviously rewarding and desirable encourages diverse playstyles and makes resetting instead of just hitting gens a more appealing option, giving survivors the ability to feel safe and, potentially, killers more peace of mind that they're not getting gen rushed.
Think of it as "leading by example." It makes far more sense to inspire your teammates to be more efficient at healing/cleansing/unlocking/etc. if you are also able to demonstrate competency at those tasks in their presence. Obviously, when others are not around, the lack of that pressure causes the perk user to revert to their old self, so the buff does not apply when other players are out of range.
In short, please consider a QOL buff to make Leader apply to the user when in range of other survivors.
