Made For This: Make it a team based clutch perk

Concept

The concept of Made For This has similar tones to "In the Darkest Hour...", "When the going gets tough..." and "Improvise, Adapt and Overcome". It feels like it should be a perk where the Survivor is knuckling up when the team needs them the most, i.e. a clutch perk.

Currently Made For This grants a free speed boost after getting injured, and stays active while injured indefinitely... which kinda achieves this idea... but its more self serving... it doesn't really have a "do what needs to be done for humanity feeling" the perk hints at... as well as being a royal pain in the ass.

Proposed Changes

Made for This

You were born to survive, and raised to adapt.

  • Gain a +2% Haste Status Effect while running for each Survivor in the dying or hooked state.
  • Gain a +1% Haste Status Effect while running for each dead Survivor.
  • Gain the Endurance Status Effect for 6/8/10 seconds after completing a Healing action on another Survivor.

Made for This cannot be used when suffering from Exhaustion, but does not cause the Exhausted Status Effect.

Discussion Points

Why is a stacking 2% bonus for downed/hooked allies preferable to being wounded?

Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

MfT no longer grants free speed just for getting injured, extending chase to specifically mess up m1 killers.

The MfT user gets the bonus for the express purpose of assisting in distracting the killer while allies make saves, or they themselves making saves and actually trying to make use of the second part of MfTs kit.

This also imposes a definitive time limit on MfT... you can't keep it at all times.

Why is the bonus for dead Survivors less than hooked/downed survivors?

Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

Quite simply to discourage leaving allies to die for a permanent 2% boost. You get more value from allies being alive than dead, and the endurance effect also gives an incentive to pick your teammates up.

Why have the allies dead buff at all?

Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

It fits thematically with the name of the perk as described in the concept, and also makes the perk more appealing for trying to clutch out the game. You may see survivors actually trying to repair final gens as the last survivor with Sole Survivor, Low Profile, Made For This and Hope.

Wouldn't this and Hope still be busted?

Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

Mostly no. If you have the 3% dead Survivor bonus AND all gens powered as the sole survivor, then no... you deserve to have the current busted MfT + Hope combo in this scenario.

The only potential scenario you have an issue is if you still have 3 survivors up, all gens powered, and then you down/hook someone. That's now 8% for anyone running this combo...

However unlike currently where MfT helps survivors AFTER the unhook, making it very hard to catch an escaping survivor... MfT now only helps BEFORE the unhook. After the unhook everyone is back down to ONLY Hope value... and tbh Before the unhook, Hope is doing the heavy lifting there anyway...

If there are survivors already dead and trying for late saves, you have the potential to get slightly greater boosts as survivor... but you're a man down... so it still evens out.

This also gives a small bonus if you get a DC loser or the even lamer Suicide on Hooker.
