New Killer Idea- The Growth
Elif Yavuz was a humble farmer and devoted wife and mother. For the most part, the war left her totally unscathed as the Mongols conquered the world around her. She thought she had escaped conquest, escaped the wrath of war. She thought wrong. She woke up in the middle of the night, flames dancing around her. Screams of torment tore through the night as her children’s flesh burned and arrows erupted from her husband’s chest. Her farm had been pillaged in their sleep, all their reapings stolen by the troops. In a matter of waking moments, everything she had in that life was stolen from her. In that moment, she decided on revenge. For the coming months, she reveled in the horror she created within the troops, sparing no life she came across and using her green thumb to torture and harm. Poison came first, the easiest to master and the easiest to use. She would spike the food and wine of convoys and watch in delight as the soldiers would fall. It wasn’t enough. She wanted blood, gore similar to that of the night she lost everything. Thorns became her weapon, waking soldiers in the middle of night to find a ring of thorns digging into their throats. They tried to scream, but the action of opening their mouth ripped their throats into a bloody mess.
Her perks and power directly go against survivor strategies of “W-key” and “Spin to Win” by decreasing Survivor speed in chase and increasing width of the basic attack. It also plays against aura reading perks, which currently have no counter in the game and there are plenty of said perks. While this counters several strategies, I do not think that it is overpowered as long as the perk is identified and Survivors adapt to other strategies.
Power:
The Growth’s power is to place environmental “traps” on any surface (such as walls, pallets, the ground, windows, generators, chests, and other interactable objects) when interacted with, the survivors become “entangled” by vines. These vines have three stages. When entangled, the object remains entangled for 20 seconds.
Stage 1: At first contact, survivors are slowed by 2%. This stage continues to stage two after 30 seconds of running/interacting with objects. Interaction with an entangled object increases growth by 50%.
Stage 2: Survivor is slowed by 4%. Vines become visible in their chest, and interacting with objects slowly entangles the object (20 seconds to full entanglement). Interacting with another survivor instantly Entangles the other survivor. Survivors are in stage 2 until interacting with another entangled object or another survivor enters the dying state.
Stage 3: Survivor enters stage 3 for 10 seconds in which case the visual vines flower, and they become stuck in place. After exiting stage 3, if uninjured, the survivor is exposed for 10 seconds.
At any point, a survivor can become disentangled by the application of Weedkiller, similar to vaccines. Other survivors can apply weedkiller to an entangled survivor. Each can of weedkiller can disentangle twice, and 5 cans can be located around the map. They are located in bird baths.
Perks:
Hex: Salted Earth: Your knowledge of what can inhibit growth has given insight into stopping hope. This hex protects another random hex totem from being cleansed until Salted Earth is cleansed first. Takes 14/16/18 seconds to cleanse.
Thorned Weapon: Your weapon is enhanced on all sides with your knowledge of thorns and spikes. Increased width of basic attack by 10/15/20%
Seeds of Doubt: Nothing is more dangerous than being unsure. Causes aura reading to fail 20/30/40% of the time. If aura reading perk is constant (such as empathy) probability roll is done every 30 seconds.
Add-ons:
(Iridescent) Wretched Bonemeal: Bonemeal originally used to fertilize the farm, now mixed with blood of her victims. Stage 3 Entanglement causes blindness, exhaustion, and exposed during the stage and 10 seconds afterwards.
(Iridescent) Burnt Cotton : Burned cotton from Elif’s farm. There is one less bottle of weedkiller
Child’s Toy: Belonging to her child, there are scorch marks on it. Increases rate of entanglement by 10%.
Other Ideas for Add-Ons:
Any Crop
Farming Tools/Equipment
Textiles
Flowers
Vines
Thorns/ Tortured Thorns
Any other ideas/ suggestions to her idea?

Oh I forgot to mention in her backstory that I placed her in Turkey during the conquest of Genghis Khan!
