Onryo will be Weaker Come Next Update
The massive nerfs she's received are going to be the following:
- 15 second cooldown upon projecting with only 3/4 stacks of Condemned applied per projection (even if it's all Survivors, that means she won't be able to apply this as effectively and secure pressure)
- Passive Condemnation is removed from carrying a Tape (so now she has no way to ensure Survivors NEED to slow down and put the tapes in to get them from doing the main objective)
- TV disabling after pulling a Cursed Tape is now 90 seconds (which is completely unnecessary due to the above nerf and the fact that she needed LESS cooldowns, not more)
- Cursed Tapes can now be put into any TV (which is, in tandem with the passive condemnation nerf, a horrible change that will thus remove any pressure she has and reduce the time that Survivors are slowed down passively by her power)
And what is compensating these with are the following:
- Hitting a Survivor with a tape will apply 1 stack of Condemned per hit (which is useless in and of itself because you will more likely than not be chasing Survivors without tapes or the ones with them are too far away, thus getting little value)
- Hooking a Survivor with a tape will apply 1 stack of Condemned to all other Survivors (which is also kind of useless as the reason above)
- Demanifestation no longer creates chases (useless simply because people can still see Onryo)
- Demanifestation prevents pallet stuns (also useless since she'll be unable to follow up on a Survivor's mistake and Survivors can just still pre-drop)
These changes feel like they're going in the direction of Hillbilly and Freddy's changes and not Doctor, Legion or Ghost Face's changes.
I don't know, considering she's still weak in chase and now has less map presence AND pressure, even with the buff of applying Condemned to all Survivors, she will more than likely be worse upon the update.
