Singularity Virus Aesthetic Improvments

Quite a few threads on the balance of HUX-A7-13 and what not, and that should take priority, but I wanted to talk more about the killer concept and areas for improvement from the art team.

The Singularity's infection mechanic is a big part of his game; the biopods spit the temporal slipstream virus at the survivors, and any infected survivors pass the infection onto others. The Singularity himself looks great as a Kronenberg-esk amalgamation of organics and machine... HAL 9000 if he absorbed matter into him from his victims. However, as well as the idea of the killer himself being scary, the biological computer virus like infection itself is also a great opportunity to look pretty nasty and creepy, and currently they feel a little flat.

When a survivor is tagged by one of the biopods, the temporal slipstream virus just kinda pops on their back. Similarly when 2 survivors walk in range it also just kinda pops across. Even in the cinematic of the fired pod missing Gabriel and hitting the floor kinda looks like its a little fleshnbag thatbjust slaps on the ground. None of this really exploits how nasty and cool this could look.

I would suggest, when a survivor gets hit by a pod, instead of popping it on them, have the virus grow out of their back, like a tumor. Have the survivor groan and whimper as it does to emphasise this is uncomfortable and horrible.

When another survivor is in range, have a sort of flesh pod tear off to fire at them and do the same. This would really sell this idea of getting infected by an organic machine virus, and make it look nasty and unnatural.

I am not sure these pods can miss once fired... I've not seen one miss yet... but if it can miss, have the missed pod put the same computer nano infection it does on survivors on the ground, and lastly whether stuck to a survivor or not, have this little flesh ball randomly move and pulse...

All of this would help make the Singularity's infection feel a little more than just being his teleport medium, and more something you really wouldn't want to happen, even if he wasn't around!
