Newer players and bloodpoints

I was spending my blood points today and was thinking to myself...if you're new to this game and you want to level up all your characters to get all of the perks unlocked and so on, you need an hell of a lot of blood points. If I were a new player, that grind would massively turn me off.

Isn't it healthier for the game's future with an ever expanding roster of playable character to increase the amount of blood points earned per trial?

My reasoning:

34 survivors + 30 killers = 64 playable characters to date

That is 65 million blood points give or take to get everyone to prestige 1. That is approximately 200 million blood points to get everyone to prestige 3.

If you are playing solo your average earned blood points per match are 50K tops without blood point offerings (100% incentive). That is a staggering 4000 matches you need to play before you get there.

Let's say it takes you less because you use the occasional blood point offering, make it 3500 matches.

On average, a match takes about 15 minutes? You need almost 1K hours to get there.

That is quite the investment to get you up to speed with the game.

I think this game needs fresh blood (pun intended) to keep the game healthy. I am just hoping this does not become more of a problem as time goes by.

  • It’d be better to iterate again on how Perks are unlocked, than to inflate BP gain rate which also impacts the grind retention of Prestige.

Could do something like playing [x] Trials with this character unlock their Perks for all others.

    Or

Escaping a Trial as a Survivor unlocks all equipped Perks for use with other Survivors.

Each Survivor Killed unlocks a Perk equipped for Killer, etc.
