XP awarded when two people DC'd during load in?

I just got stuck on the loading screen for a few minutes, then it showed that two people had DC'd on the results screen. I just clicked to go back to the lobby and when it put me back there the archive popup appeared and I received a bunch of XP. Has this been a thing? You get XP when others DC? Or was it a glitch?

    Was it your first match of the day with that role? I think you still get the 300 xp for first match even if there is a DC during loading.
