I have been thinking about this for ages

How would everybody feel about the devs possibly putting a mini map into the game to allow better planning of moves. Obviously making it so killers and survivors can't be seen on the map, but maybe when the heartbeat happens like a mini map notification comes up.

  • The idea is good in theory but then you have more things to pay attention to for both sides and it'd be a bigger advantage for survivors probably because then they'd know where not to run. You also don't want a heartbeat on the minimap since that's basically a mp wide bond beyond what even SWF has.

The map layout shouldn't be known beforehand because you have to explore it for both sides before you figure out exactly what tileset is on the maps, walls etc.

  • I’m confused. What is a mini-map going to show?

Why would you need a mini-map when you can just listen out for the heartbeat?

Didn't think of it that way really just trying to ways to balance the game on both sides.

All good, even the best laid plans of mice and men so to speak and realistically the only way to find problems is to expose your ideas to others.

But don't give up so easily, you've had issues identified now try and think of ways to overcome those issues and then test those fixes out to identify pros and cons again.
