Dead hard design

So DH id still the controversial perk as always.

So the perk by the idea of the devs and intention is supposed to be an active skill for the survivor to escape when injured. The original was like that (until people just just started to use it for distance), and the new one is even more focused on that design.

Problems with the perk:

Survivor:

Its effectiveness is variant to the connection and servers, the feeling of getting downed during the DH animation or getting downed exhausted is frustrating and makes the perk inconsistent even if you master it

Killer:

Turns the game into a test of patience to see which side breaks first and can be annoying to stay 5/10 seconds behind a survivor to wait for the DH. The latency becomes an issue in pallets as you have to time your hits to the DH end animation but not let the survivor drop the pallet.

Possible solutions:

I want to keep the spirit of the perk (an active chase ability) so some possible solutions:

Give DH a cooldown of 1 sec of no interactions (pallets or windows), this should give more time for killers in those situations if they win the mind game;

Adding a requirement to gain access to DH (unhooking, taking protection hits, time in chase, whatever might be)

Adding a killer perk that puts survivors in Deep Wound (this would need balancing, but it could be an interesting delay and a counter to DH, adrenaline, and people that get healed with off the record active)

If server issues can't be fixed, adding a buffer to the endurance status effect of DH could be a solution, this is very dangerous as if the buffer is too wide it might make the perk impossible to bait for killers

There is probably a lot of ideas, and probably even more people that just want the perk gone.

But pls, try and give feedback and more ideas and not just rage on the perk to be gone or making the perk into something else entirely.

I might think that the perk is mostly ok because of the inconsistent value it gives to a survivor, but if you good ideas to help both sides, feel free.
