[Accessibility] A Killer FOV slider is needed
Some people cannot properly play without Shadowborn equipped because the constrictive FOV causes migraines, and are thus forced to permanently give up a perk slot. This isn’t okay, for the same reasons colorblind settings being limited to a perk wouldn’t be. A slider is necessary because too high of FOV can cause the same issue for some people.
- It doesn’t matter if it gives an advantage. Colorblind settings make things like scratch marks easier to see on some maps too. Accessibility is priority numero uno. Compensate elsewhere if necessary.
- Higher FOV isn’t automatically all good. Higher FOV means things will appear narrower and thus make it easier to visually miss some things.
- Any arguable "advantage" is negligible at best.
"It counters FOV techs." So does having a brain and realizing a survivor can’t just spontaneously vanish, so they’re obviously below or behind you.
"You see more of the map." Any killer worth their salt will be checking peripheries when they cross the map anyways to make sure they don’t miss survivors on their sides.
"You see more in fatigue." The gain is incredibly tiny and usually doesn’t matter because fatigue forces camera super far down for most killers with fatigue.
"Killer doesn’t need buffs." Irrelevant whataboutism. This isn’t about a buff, it’s about letting people play without getting migraines without being forced to give up a perk slot.
"It’ll make hiding impossible." The only forms of hiding that depend off FOV, again, already don’t work if the killer has a brain.
"Why only for killer?" Because it doesn’t happen on third person POV to my knowledge.

Even if it gives an advantage, it's not a major one, it's one that benefits lower skilled players more than higher skilled players (those who aren't good at dealing with 360's etc.), and it's just the sort of 'counter buff' to tackle the increased efficiency survivors will get from the new action icons.
Killer is simply uncomfortable and disorienting to play with 87 degrees of view. Expanding it to a more comfortable range via a slider is a much needed QoL change, motion sickness or otherwise, and now is the perfect time to implement it given the sort of survivor buffs that are coming.
Also it opens up the avenue to rework tremendously outdated perks and functions. Like how flashlight blind angle should be a static capped 90 degrees or so instead of based off FOV, Shadowborn is a blatant fossil, and so is Monitor & Abuse's FOV function.
