Why camp?
Sometimes campuca is ok like all 5 gens are done and you haven't killed anyone ok reasonable but why camp with 5 GENS LEFT

Because the results are the same. Survivors will rush the hook 9 times out of 10.
The killer got lost trying to run to the other side of the map and hide in a corner like a good killer should. He took a left instead of a right and ended up back at the hook. Its not camping, its bad navigation skills.
Why NOT camp?
...Ask them?
For some, it's because there's 1 gen left, or the gates are powered.
For some, the survivor made them mad.
Maybe you're too much trouble?
Maybe the killer has a sacrifice ritual?
In general, for some strange reason, it's going to be worth it to the killer.
It's a strategy that can result in a 4k, it's not a reportable offence, is it unfun for the survivor being camped? Yes, do survivors care if the killer has fun? No. So why would a killer care if a survivor has fun?
