There shouldn't be a 120 FPS hard cap...
I play most games at 240 FPS on my 240hz monitor. This is something every modern game should support, especially those made in Unreal engine which I can confirm supports up to at least 600 FPS and probably more. I get it breaks some things in the game but the devs should just fix those issues instead of hard capping the FPS. It just seems like a lazy approach to development to me.
As a game developer myself, I get that they have more pressing issues, but the time that would go into fixing these frame issues should not be that substantial, I presume. If the devs don't fix the issue now, it will make it more difficult in the future as they add more frame-rate unsafe code to the game (just don't put everything on the update tick loop lol). People are steadily buying better and better hardware with the new standard quickly becoming 144hz, so it should be something the developers consider in the future.
