So I've now learnt they can I remember before hand they couldn't they had to find a different route but yeah I know not to waste pallets on them.

Also with the achievement saying to hit a survivor with haste do they mean the survivor or the killer. Because hitting a survivor with the haste effect isn't easy to do.
