Why are "swivel hooks" swivel only when survivors are interacting with them?

Let the killers hook from all angles, as the survivors can unhook from all angles.

    Agreed, if killers cant block the unhook prompt anymore, then survs shouldn't be able to block the hooking prompt either.

    A 50kg Claudette shouldn´t be able to body block a 100+kg Trapper anyway.
    The whole body blocking thing is ridiculous anyway.
    When was the last horror movie, where the killer carried his victim into his basement, and several survivors crouched in front of the door to block the killer?

    We could exclude basement hooks from the swivel, I reckon that the fact that there is four can make up for it.
