An Improvement to Legion's Ultra-Rare Mix-Tape
Ultra-Rare add-ons should be cool, making a significant power-up or a fun change in how the game is played for a particular killer, or both.
One of Legion's add-ons, the Iridescent Button, qualifies for this, barely.
The Fuming Mix Tape on the other hand... well, first of all, it's basically a lazy copy of the Wraith's add-on.
Now, with Wraith, it's reasonable... not super-strong, but reasonable. Wraith spends a lot of his time when not in a chase (and some when he is) cloaked, so being able to monitor generator progress is a clear benefit.
For Legion, though? His Feral Frenzy only works for a few seconds at a time, then goes into a long cooldown. When using it, often there's way too much going on to pay much attention to how advanced generator auras are map-wide, mostly it'd help for identifying if close-up generators need to be kicked, and the progress of those you can easily tell in other ways. Moreover, one of his core perks is already based around generator control, telling if multiple people are working on it. So, on Legion, the Fuming Mix tape is basically garbage. Ultra-rare garbage you'll find popping up in blood webs and sometimes have to buy.
I propose one of two fixes. The easy, one, and the cool one.
The Easy One:
Make it a bit like the Spirit's red add-on... in addition to the current effect (because it's SO garbage that adding a powerful effect to it doesn't significantly overpower it), it makes it so scratch marks are visible during Frenzy. It's one of the major weaknesses of using it (particularly if you use it for movement or searching rather than right when you see someone), so why not make an add-on that mitigates it, like the Spirit. Now it's not very interesting an add-on, but at least I can see myself using it.
The Cool One:
This goes back to my last thread, and my desire to, somehow, include the rest of the Legion IN the trial. But, a far simpler way:
Fuming Mix-Tape:
Dark beats, violent shreds and unfathomable vocals from another world fill the mind with a vibrating sixth sense and brings visions of your friends.
- While using Feral Frenzy, phantom versions of the rest of the Legion can be seen by survivors running at random locations within your terror radius.
- While using Feral Frenzy, the Repair Progress of Generators can be determined by the intensity of their Auras.
That's all. It doesn't require huge AI. Just show them running in a straight line, random location, random direction, changing direction if they hit an obstruction, like they're in the feral frenzy too and chasing somebody unseen. No collision, no damage. Think of it like they're in their own trials and this is just a phantom image of what they're going on there. But imagine it for a second, from the survivor's point of view. The first time, they don't know which is which. Maybe someone who's safely hidden gets spooked into a fast vault! If you got hit, you don't know if it's safe to mend. Or maybe you're spooked out of mending and go down! But as the game goes on, they're able to, and in fact have to, have to keep track of WHICH Legion member they're facing, and so can tell which one is a phantom... but it's still going to be scary when you see one coming in front of you when you thought the killer was behind you. And the killer can make use of terror-radius altering perks and add-ons to alter the effect (tiny terror radius means a tighter cluster maybe, or map-wide terror radius with the other add-on could spook someone off a far away generator).
Again, you might as well include 'monitor generator progress' in this version as well (especially since, here, you can use the distraction caused by the phantom Legion to go take out generators that are too near completion).

Not bad.
That's it, this is a reasonable idea.
