Does modding get you banned?

So I recently stumbled on the modding community of dbd and looked around a bit for some mods. But I began wondering if it could get you banned and so I searched it up and nothing that can simply say yes or no. So I wanted to ask if it does or not.

    This was asked a few days ago as well and just by scrolling down the Ask the community category I found this,
