prestige question?

so we get prestige for all the bloodpoints we used, im assuming in purchasing other perks... but is that only if you havent prestiged that character? because i have characters on xbox at level 40 or 50 with lots of perks and no prestige levels. and my feng min was p3 level 50 and ive spent probably over 50 million on her after p3 and literally was prestige 9 so i leveled her up hoping it might increase the prestige and it was level 10? not working or is there some misunderstanding

    The prestige catch-up mechanic was a one time thing that happened when the update dropped. From here on, when you prestige a character you gain 1 prestige level.

    The catch-up did not factor bloodpoints spent but total perk tiers. To get p1, a character had to have 70 perk tiers. To get p2, you had to have 120 tiers. A level 40 character wouldn't have enough perk tiers to get a prestige level. You would have had to repeat a level 50 bloodweb at least 8 times to have enough for p1.


    Edit: also the max prestige level you could get from the catch-up was 9. Any character at p3 before the update automatically became p9 regardless of perk tiers.
