What are the best ways to pip up?

I don't care about rank, but I need the survivor rank 1 achievement. I'm at rank 3 but I keep getting bad games. Even when I do pretty good and escape I don't pip up. What perks or strategies are the best for pips? Also is it possible to pip up even if you die?

    Bring prove thyself def. Do about 1 1/2 preferably with a teammates. 2 hook saves and some heals. Run the killer around a little bit and throw pallets like its 2017. You don't necessarily need evaders points if you escape but you prob won't pip if you don't escape and haven't ran around the killer for awhile. Just balance out all the emblems
