Dredge should be able to pick which locker in a cluster to teleport to
Example A
The survivor only needs to lock one of the two lockers, because they know that regardless of where the Dredge aims at, it doesn’t matter, they will be sucked to the locked locker. And then they just do the same again next time around. Skill does not matter, because the Dredge also has no way to deal with it other than going somewhere completely different, or having broken the lock externally beforehand, neither of which are viable options in the given moment most of the time. Being punished regardless of aim and being automatically pulled to a location seems illogical.
If Dredge can pick which of the lockers to go to, then survivors would also have to actually guess which locker to lock if they don’t want to risk using both, which would then encourage mindgaming with how the survivor responds to it. Keeping the minimum range to prevent teleporting after making the guess is fine, but not being able to even select between the two from a distance is somewhat illogical. The survivor decides left or right, Dredge decides left or right, and then if they are the same, Dredge would get locked in, and not be able to teleport to the locker right beside it in the cluster to bypass the fact only a single lock was used. If the survivor guesses wrong/Dredge guesses right, Dredge would not be locked.
Example b
In the case neither are locked/neither can be locked, the current case still punishes the player. Regardless of aim, it will randomly pick one of the two lockers. This affects chase because despite them being beside one another, one will still be closer to the intended desired destination than the other, which can make the difference in whether or not a survivor escapes or gets hit. But because of this randomization, it’s skill-irrelevant and left up to RNG.
