dead hard issue
Clearly a lot of people are complaining about the perk dead hard on this forum. So people say it's after the hit validation update that this perk became the god perk of all perks. Personally i'm using this to create extra distance to get to a pallet or window. Why is it regarded as so problematic? Is it because almost all 4 survivors have it equiped? Is it because of the new hit validation that it's hard to ever get a hit?
What makes you so angry about the current state of this perk?

Using it for distance is uncounterable with most Killers
Oh no, you've opened the floodgates...
Anyway, the thing that makes Dead Hard so strong is that, after the hit validation update, it can very reliably be used to both dodge a hit and make distance to a pallet or window. Both of those things can be absurdly strong, one of them is uncounterable, and Dead Hard can do both with very minimal effort or requirement.
It is the only categorically OP perk in that game after CoH got brought down to merely very good. Thankfully, it is getting changed!
But why do i only hear this perk being so problematic in recent times, and not in the first years of the game? the perk hasn't really changed except for the hit validation
I'm sorry, dead hard has been complained about for years. One if its main counterpoints back in the day was "lol exhausted on the ground" which was totally a true scenario that could occur but it was 100% complained about. Hit validation did not impact the case of DH for distance most of the time. But to say no one has been complaining about it until recently is totally disingenuous.
We had regular forum posters posting things like "SB is so much better, I always see 4x SB in my games and it's 10,000 times worse". The only really impactful thing that has changed recently is BHVR released stats bracketed by MMR that showed 80% of high MMR survivors bring DH which totally deflated the argument that SB is used more/better/its a secret weapon nobody is taking advantage of.
Hot topics at the time and general perk usage or what's considered 'meta' tend to hide underlying problematic perks until they're resolved. Dead Hard has always been a very strong and uncounterable perk when used for distance, the difference is there were more seemingly problematic 'obvious' perks at the time and thus fewer survivors were running it in general.
One example was Balanced Landing, which used to reduce the stagger effect regardless even if you were exhausted. Once this was nerfed, people tended to shift towards DH so it became a thing you saw way more frequently and therefore the problems people have with it started to surface more frequently.
Once it gets changed, assuming the major issue people have with it is addressed, I imagine something else will take its place that's currently bubbling beneath the surface that people kinda know is a problem but aren't really talking about as much.
